Welcome to 'Driving Miss Daisy'

Greetings from Pasco, Washington...
Yes, this blog begins on day 2 of Driving Miss Daisy! I needed day 1 to see if I actually wanted to do a blog! However, one can hardly start a travel blog on day 2 of the journey so I shall begin with a brief synopsis of day 1.
'Miss Daisy' is our 5th wheel - a 30 foot Citation, 2 slides beauty of a RV (well, beautiful to us!). Our adventure began at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26th, about an hour later departing than originally planned. Regrettably, I have no pictures of that stage of our journey. Suffice to say everything went smoothly. While I am an absolute klutz in all matter mechanical, Peggy is quite proficient. She had that 5th wheel hooked up in no time flat. And, for all those who said it couldn't be done, I'd just like to say our truck pulled Miss Daisy up the hill from our place at the lake like it was 'nuttin'!. We went through customs at Creston and it was quite painless. We were particularly grateful that they left us with our dog food! Great weather on day 1 and we got to Spokane, our destination by @ 2:45 p.m.. Peggy had a reservation for us at a RV park just outside Spokane and she'd reserved a 'drive through' site. We had the impression that 'drive through' meant 'easy to park'. Take a look at the picture and you'll see that we were a bit lopsided on the site.
Day 2 we traveled from Spokane to Pasco, Washington. About a 2.5 hour drive. It was a bit nerve wracking as it was quite foggy and we ran into snow at various times. We arrived at Sandy Heights RV about 3:00; got things set up, walked the dogs, and then went for a great $5.00 Thanksgiving Dinner compliments of the managers of the resort! Now, we are in our cozy 5th wheel, sipping some great red wine and planning our wine tour for tomorrow....Life is good....
