On To Portland

Woke up this a.m. to 60 degrees in the RV...ran out of propane in the night, Zoe was not amused. Note to self - buy an electric heater!. Visited three great wineries yesterday and stocked up. Enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Tagaris Winery - great food and great wine. Settling into RV life. It is amazing how little space one truly needs to live. This should be comforting news to those facing foreclosure on their multi-million dollar homes!
Today will be a longer drive for us - probably 4 to 5 hours depending on whether we get lost going around Portland!
Travel Anecdote #1:
I forgot to mention in my last entry that when we arrived at our first destination (Spokane), Peggy jumped out of the truck to open the 5th wheel - no keys (yes, you read that correctly, Peggy could not find keys). Well, get the extra set you say - they were locked in the 5th wheel. Anyway after the ensuing panic, Peg discovered them lodged between her seat and the car console - and I do mean 'lodged'. Well, you know there was a happy ending to that story but....it was a close call. For a while we thought we may have left them with the Custom's Officer......
